Do I get a 1099 form?

How partner earnings are documented for taxes, and where to find your earnings statements.

Depending on how much you earn and how your business is set up, you may receive a 1099 form for the applicable tax year. A 1099 reports non-employee income (the kind independent contractors and business owners earn), and unlike a W-2, taxes generally aren't withheld, so partners are typically responsible for their own income and self-employment taxes on what they earn.

You can request an earnings statement at any time.

Because everyone's tax situation is different, we can't give tax advice, so we'd recommend confirming what applies to you with a tax professional. For questions about your earnings statements or payout records, reach out to the partner team.
