What payment methods are accepted for prescription or lab orders?

Explains accepted payment methods, including credit/debit and HSA/FSA cards, and why prepaid gift cards aren't supported.

We accept valid credit and debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards, for subscription payments. Prepaid gift cards aren't supported.

A note on HSA/FSA: acceptance at checkout is determined by your card issuer, not by us. Rules vary by issuer and plan, and some issuers apply extra scrutiny to telehealth purchases, which can occasionally cause a card to be declined even when the purchase would otherwise qualify.

If your HSA/FSA card is declined, you have two options:

  1. Pay with a regular credit or debit card, then submit your receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement. We can provide an itemized order receipt on request, and eligible clients can get a letter of medical necessity through our partner, Burst.

  2. Contact your HSA/FSA administrator to ask why the card was declined, some issuers can approve specific purchase categories on request.

Medications and lab work are generally HSA/FSA-eligible, but eligibility ultimately depends on your specific plan and IRS rules. We recommend checking with your plan administrator or a tax advisor if you have questions about a specific product. Our receipts are a record of your purchase, not a determination that an expense qualifies for HSA/FSA reimbursement.
