Your role on the platform is non-clinical coaching and support. Everything that touches prescribing, dispensing, or medical decisions belongs to the independent licensed clinicians and pharmacies. Here's where the line sits.
You may choose to:
Give your clients access to independent licensed clinicians who can support their goals
Charge separately for your own coaching programs, which clients pay you for directly
Share general education on products and their potential benefits and risks
Provide holistic support across nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness
Be the trusted guide who helps your clients stay consistent and get the most from their program
You should not:
Place orders for your clients. They request products through the portal themselves.
Buy medication from Altro, mark it up, and resell it
Bundle prescription costs into your program pricing, or tie your pricing to getting a prescription
Bill insurance through Altro
Promise or guarantee a prescription. Clinicians prescribe only when it's clinically appropriate.
Promise or guarantee results
A note if you're licensed: if you hold a clinical license, you're welcome to practice in your own independent capacity, but your role on the Altro platform is non-clinical, and the prescribing decision always stays with the independent clinician. Keeping the two separate is what protects you and your clients.
These limits aren't arbitrary. The model is designed to keep the medical decisions and prescribing with the licensed clinicians and pharmacies, so you can focus on coaching while staying in your lane. Operating within these boundaries is an important part of keeping your business compliant.
