Do clients have to speak with a clinician to get prescribed?

When clinician calls are required.

The majority of prescriptions are handled asynchronously through the medical intake form your client fills out when ordering. This allows the clinician to evaluate whether a prescription is appropriate for the client based on their medical history, conditions, medications, and other factors.

Exceptions include:

  • A few states require a short clinician call before prescribing certain medications. This call will be completed at no extra cost.

  • Testosterone (TRT) always requires a video call (as well as a lab test) because it's a controlled substance.

There's no extra cost to your client for these calls.
